Tri-Council Varsity Challenge: Calling all Varsity Scouts! Come join in the largest gathering of the "Orange" in BSA history. The 2008 Tri-Council Varsity Challenge, held on September 12 & 13, 2008, will include Varsity Teams from the Great Salt Lake, Trapper Trails, and Utah National Parks Councils. The challenge will be full of activities, games and fun, including live entertainment and fireworks. Leave No Trace Trainer Course: Become a trainer in helping others become more aware of Leave No Trace principles. Running October 17-18 at Maple Dell Scout Camp, this $10 course is a great way to move us all forward on our Environmental Stewardship responsibilities. Celebrating leadership - Karen Frost
Karen Frost, District Executive for Palymra District,was honored with the President's Volunteer Service Award-Life time for more than 6000 hours of volunteer service. The President's Council on Service and Civic Participation created this award program as a way to thank and honor Americans who, by their demonstrated commitment and example, inspire others to engage in volunteer service. |

BYU-UVU Merit Badge Pow Wow Set On-line registration will begin Tuesday, August 26 at 9:00 a.m. for Scouts and leaders registered with the Utah National Parks Council. Non-council Scouts will be able to register on-line Tuesday, September 9. Register early since many of the merit badge classes fill up quickly. |
